If you apply for the "docomo Mail Option" at the same time as changing your contract to the new Docomo rate plan "irumo", you will be able to continue using your carrier email address (@docomo.ne.jp); however, if you apply for the "docomo Mail Option" at any time after signing up for "irumo", or if you do not apply for the "docomo Mail Option", you may not be able to use your carrier email address (@docomo.ne.jp) or it may not be possible to transfer it to another account.
